Mackaylee "Kaylee" Grace Long

Mackaylee “Kaylee” Grace Long, our angel, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 1, 2014. She passed away at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio after a brief illness. Kaylee was born January 4, 2006 to Larry L. and Angela K. (Higginbotham) Long. She was preceded in death by “Ma-Ma Donna” Higginbotham. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her siblings, Mackenzie Lee Long and Joshua Evan Long; paternal great grandparents, Velva M. (the late Darius) Underwood; maternal grandparent, Jerry L. Higginbotham of Pt. Pleasant, WV; paternal grandparents, Larry and Cathy Long; aunts and uncles, Jennifer (Russell) Stover, Adam Higginbotham, Brianna (Dylan) Hindy, Lisa (John) Kearns, Lori (Ken) Owens, and Laura (Tony) Ireland; and several cousins and friends, all who will greatly miss her. Kaylee was a student at Rio Grande Elementary. She was bright, full of life, had an infectious smile that lit up the room and a heart of gold. She had a genuine love for her family and friends and will forever be Mommy’s girl. Services will be 12:00 noon, Friday, September 5, 2014 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastors Rick Barcus and John Mollihan officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery in Flatrock, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for contributions toward her final expenses. A memorial fund has been set up at Farmers Bank and will be accepted at any branch.
