Obituary for Margaret “Tudy” J. Wolfe Margaret “Tudy” J. Wolfe, 98, of Gallipolis, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at her assisted living residence in Dublin, OH. She was born September 6, 1917 in Gallipolis Ferry, WV, daughter of the late John C. Mathews and Mary C. Nibert Mathews. She married Marvin Wolfe, who pre-deceased her. Margaret worked at Gallipolis State Institute for 33 years. She enjoyed antique auctions and was a long-standing member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include her siblings, Julia Mathews Kelly of Columbus, OH, Tom Mathews of Cypress, TX, Marilyn Mathews Foutch of Pataskala, OH, and Nancy Mathews Conrad of Louisville, KY; grandchildren Lisa Allen of Grandview, OH and Phil Wolfe of Dublin, OH; six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, John Robert Wolfe and William Douglas Wolfe; four brothers, John Christopher Mathews, Robert “Jack” Mathews, Harry Mathews, Chris Mathews; and two sisters, Christina Mathews Long, and Betty Mathews Henry; and one granddaughter, Lecia Wolfe Pierce. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Willis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
