Marlin Dean Mooney

Marlin “Dean” Mooney, 67, of the Clipper Mills Community, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dean was born on November 6, 1939 in Gallia County, Ohio to Viola Bush Mooney and Stanley E. Mooney. He was retired from the State Highway Department. He is survived by three sisters, Dorothy Bill Hoffhines of Columbus, Virginia “Katie” Montgomery and Mable Halley both of Crown City; one brother, Clifford Violet Mooney of Columbus; a sister-in-law Fern Mooney of Gallipolis; several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, Viola and Stanley Mooney, two brothers, Harold Mooney and Hollis Mooney; two brothers-in-law, Carl Montgomery and Robert “Bob” Halley. Services will be 1 pm Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Warner officiating. Burial will follow in Big Four Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday, from 11am until the time of the services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
