Martha D. Sanders

Martha D. Sanders, 87, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born on April 18, 1933 in Texas, Martha was the daughter of the late Archie and Brady Mae McElroy. Martha married Ray Sanders, who preceded her in death on April 21, 1997. She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking pies, crocheting, and yard sales. Martha is survived by her granddaughter, Abbie (Steve) Zeppetella of Pataskala, Ohio; great granddaughter, Olivia Grace Zeppetella; daughter-in-law, Laura Sanders of Galloway, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Nina Sanders Jeffers of Gallipolis and Donna Sanders Roberson of Mississippi; niece, Ellen (Rodney) VanNest; and nephew, Aaron (Jennifer) Jeffers. In addition to her parents and husband, Martha was preceded in death by her sons, Ray Sanders II and Michael Sanders; daughter, Nancy Mae Sanders; seven siblings; and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Sanders. The funeral service for Martha will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Unroe officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
