Mary A. Burke

Mary A. Burke, 92, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Hillspring Nursing Home, Springboro, Ohio She was born June 28, 1923 in Addison Township, Gallia County, daughter of the late Orville and Anna Shaw Wills. Mary was married to Lloyd Burke and he preceded her in death in December, 1997. She was a World War II Navy veteran. and a retired inspector at Federal Mogul. Mary attended First Church of God of Gallipolis. Surviving are her daughter, Lavonne Jeffers–Repasky (Jim) of Springboro, Ohio; her son, Michael Lloyd (April) Burke of Rutland; her daughter-in-law, Janice Burke of Gallipolis; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and a sister, Mildred Milam of Grove City. In addition to her parents and husband, Lloyd Burke, Mary was preceded in death by a son, John Stephen Burke in 2014, a brother, George Wills, and two sisters, Vesta Lewis and Shirley McKinney. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
