Mary Lee Callicoat Spears Daugherty Petry

Mary Lee Callicoat Spears Daugherty Petry, 58, of Oak Hill, formerly of Bidwell, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at Holzer Medical Center. She was born on June 15, 1948 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late James Callicoat and Thelma Sullins Callicoat who survives her. She was married to John Petry and he preceded her in death. She was a nurse for Ohio Valley Home Health. Surviving are her children, Leah Harrison of Oak Hill, Mark Candice Spears of Beaver, and William Clydia Spears of McArthur; five grandchildren, Nathan, Cadie, Lily, Logan and Paige; her mother, Thelma Callicoat of Bidwell; a sister, Elizabeth “Cindy” McQuaid of Gallipolis; a brother, Johnny Callicoat of Florida; and a beloved companion, her dog, Sugie Bear Petry. Preceding her in death are her father, James Callicoat, her husband, John Petry, and a grandson, Dakota Harrison. Services will be on Sunday, July 16, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Tatum officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, July 15, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. and from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service on Sunday.
