Merika Reign Brumfield

Merika Reign Brumfield, 4, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Born on March 8, 2021 in Huntington, West Virginia, Merika was the daughter of Timothy “Shane” Brumfield II and Tashika McWhorter. In addition to her father and mother, Merika is survived by her brother, Ashton McWhorter of Gallipolis; grandparents, Tammy Brumfield (Greg Roach) of Gallipolis, Timmy Brumfield (Angie St. Clair) of Gallipolis, Mick McWhorter of Pawleys Island, South Carolina, and Terena McWhorter of Gallipolis; great grandparents, Ivan (Roxie) Brumfield of Patriot, Ohio; uncle, Jacob Brumfield (Cal Clark) of Gallipolis; uncle, Joshua Thomas of Gallipolis; and several great aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Merika was preceded in death by great grandparents, Shirley Williams, Lois Thomas, Richard Thomas, and Virgil and Shirley Watson; great aunt, Lori Watson Rose; and great uncle, Randy Montgomery.

A Graveside Service for Merika will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2025 in Providence Cemetery with Pastor Dakota Wroten officiating.
