Michael D. Drummond

Michael D. 'Mike' Drummond, 37, of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at his residence. He was born November 22, 1971 in Parkersburg, WV, son of the late Gary D. Drummond and Judy Michael Mahan. Mike graduated with the Class of 1990 from Gallia Academy High School. He married Danielle D. Stump on July 17, 1993 in Gallipolis and she survives him. He worked for Carter's Plumbing for 10 years. Mike was a member of the NRA and a former 4H Advisor. He was an avid outdoorsman. Surviving are his wife, Danielle D. Drummond of Gallipolis; three children, Michaela A., Garrett and Colton Drummond, all of the home; mother and stepfather, Judy and Dan Mahan of Cheshire; one sister, Tami Alan Sheets of Gallipolis; stepbrother, Steve Linda Mahan of Gallipolis; mother-in-law, Carla Keith Snyder of Gallipolis; father-in-law, Bart Rebecca Stump of Cheshire; sisters-in-law, Susie Kenny Byer of Columbus and Amanda and Melissa Stump of Cheshire; brothers-in-law, Tracy Patti Stump of Vinton and Jon Janiece Stump of Omaha, Nebraska; nieces, Alyssa Dray, Jennifer Stump and Abbie Stump; nephews, Josh Stump, Justin Stump and Jonie Stump; step nieces and nephews, Stacy Travis Fellure, Stephanie Snyder, Stevie Mahan, Krisha, Cody and Dustin Sheets; lifelong special friend, Jason Brumfield; and special friends, Jim and Mary Cundiff. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Gary D. Drummond on August 24, 1992, paternal grandparents Samuel H. Drummond and Clarabelle Drummond Brown, maternal grandparents Hollie and Virginia Michael, an uncle Kenny Drummond, and an aunt Sue Drummond Michael. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, July 17, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Jason Brumfield, Tracy Stump, Jim Cundiff, Chuckie Phillips, Bill Baker, Kenny Byer, Chuck Phillips and Jon Stump.
