Bidwell

Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Mildred Louise (DeLille) Greenlee, 84, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, in Gallia County, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Tracie (Spencer) DeLille.

She was born in Rodney, Ohio on March 18, 1941. Louise married the love of her life, Rex Greenlee, on August 26, 1967, and they shared 58 years. She loved her role as a mother to her three children Phil (Cheryl) Greenlee, Greg (Erin) Greenlee, and Suzy (Todd) Hines. But her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren when they were young. They are Logan (Kristen) Greenlee, Caleb Greenlee, Kyle Greenlee, Brenner Greenlee, Kali (Cody) Wimmer, Sydney (Jared) Burdette, Shelby Greenlee, Bryce Hines, Cole Hines, Cora Hines, and great-grandson Cayson Wimmer.

In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by sisters, Bettie McClaskey, Ruth Boice, Geneva Brooks, and brothers, John DeLille, Charles DeLille, Martin DeLille, Raymond DeLille, and Bruce DeLille.

Louise spent almost her entire life on the family farm in Rodney. She started school walking to Rodney Grade School, which was a place of great pride for her. In 1959, Louise graduated from Gallia Academy High School and then went on to earn her Elementary Education degree at Rio Grande College.

Louise spent 32 years not only teaching, but also loving on numerous children in Gallia County, and spent her first year in Johnstown, Ohio. Helping students succeed in the classroom, as well as in life, was her passion. She was a member of Rodney Grange, Eastern Star, Delta Kappa Gamma, and Retired Teachers.

Louise loved the Lord and made sure to raise her family knowing the goodness of God. She would often sing hymns around the house, talk about her faith to others, and live out her beliefs in all she did. Louise was a member of Rodney United Methodist Church for many years and became a member of Rodney Church of Light. At church, Louise was a Sunday School teacher, VBS director, part of the Ladies’ group, and a faithful member, always willing to help where needed.

Louise will be remembered for her delicious home-cooked meals, warm hugs, beautiful smile, and friendliness.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Rodney Church of Light with Pastor Todd Hines officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Baptist Cemetery in Rio Grande, Ohio. Friends may call on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Willis Funeral Home from 5:00–7:00 p.m.
