Monica J. Day

Monica J. Day, 54, of Crown City, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at her residence. She was born June 28, 1963 in Pt. Pleasant, WV, daughter of the late Anthony Sr. and Doris Jean Holley Angelo. Monica was married to Charles Day and he survives her. She was employed at Holzer Senior Care and attended Promise Land Church. Surviving are her husband, Charles Day of Crown City; a daughter, Monica Lynn Markin of Crown City; five grandchildren, Jeremy Markin II, Matthew Markin, Julie Thivener, Audrey Thivener and Russell Thivener; and four brothers, Anthony Angelo Jr. of Crown City, Keith Jeffers of Gallipolis, Richard Ward of Gallipolis Ferry, WV and Bill Ward of Gallipolis. In addition to her parents, Monica was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Day and a brother, Joe R. Jeffers. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Workman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Nick Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
