Myron E. Sheets, 85, of Gallipolis, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the Holzer Medical Center. He was born on August 31, 1921 in Gallia County, son of the late of Cecil and Letha Sheets. Myron was married to Florence Fellure Sheets for 63 years. They have a daughter, Linda, of Seattle, Washington. Myron served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He worked at Gentile Government Supply Depot and Wright Patterson Air Force Base for 30 years. He also owned and operated a Dairy Clipper ice cream truck for several years that he brought to the Gallia County Junior Fair. Myron is also survived by a sister, Rosalie Whitesell of Alamogordo, New Mexico and a sister-in-law Jan Sheets of Cleveland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a younger brother Marvin Myron and Florence recently moved back to Gallia County after living 57 years in Fairborn and Springfield, Ohio. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2007 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Lusher officiating. Entombment services will be at 3 p.m. at the Rose Hill Mausoleum on Route 41 in Springfield, Ohio with Pastor Lonnie Bocook officiating. Friends may call at Willis Funeral Home on Thursday, May 10, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association in Myron’s memory.
