Myrtle Mink Hager

July 30, 1914 — May 13, 2006

Myrtle Mink Hager, 91, of Gallipolis, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at the Arbors at Gallipolis. She was born on July 30, 1914 in West Virginia, daughter of the late George and Lula Mitchell Evans. She was retired from the State of Ohio having worked at the Columbus State Hospital and as a Foster Grandparent at the Gallipolis Developmental Center. Surviving are two sisters, Eva Bill Cravey of Columbus and Mildred Smith of Gallipolis, two brothers, Eli Evans of Columbus and Elliott Evans of Bucyrus, a nephew Bill Brown of Gallipolis, was reared in the home; numerous nieces and nephews survive. Myrtle was preceded in death by her husbands, Cecil Mink in 1987 and Delbert Hager; by her parents; three sisters, Thelma Jackson, Virginia Candle and Verna Blazer; two brothers, Elba Evans and Arthur Evans in infancy. Services will be 1:30 PM Thursday, May 18, 2006 at Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Unroe officiating. Burial will follow in Mina Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 from 6-8 pm at Willis Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Fred Bellomy, Bill Cravey, Gene Jackson, Robin McDole, Raymond Shirkey and Glenn Smith.
