Naomi Eblin Saunders Mcguire

Naomi Eblin Saunders McGuire, 92, of Gallipolis, died Sunday, November 12, 2006 at the Holzer Senior Care Center. She was born July 31, 1914 in Gallia County, daughter of the late Jesse and Erie Adkins Eblin. She was retired from Holzer Hospital where she worked as a cook. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She is survived by four sons, Berkley Judy Saunders of Crown City, Joseph Saunders and special friend Trudie Smith of Reynoldsburg, Wayne Ellen Saunders of Vinton, Don Doris Saunders of Lakewood; stepson, Gary Frances McGuire of South Point; eight grandchildren, Debbie Mark Sanders, Donna Saunders, Lisa Mike Snider, Terry Saunders, Scott Saunders, Jeff Jennifer Saunders, Kathy Saunders and Ashley Saunders; nine great grandchildren, Jill Bill Cox, Luke Sanders, Josie Rodney Gast, Heather Eric Day, Danielle Hineman, Steven Call, Dylan and Noah Saunders and Christopher Pack; three great great grandchildren, Austin and Alexis Day and Tori Cox;and two step great great grandchildren, Josh Cox and Haley Gast. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Earl Saunders and Everett McGuire, four brothers, Willie, John, Edward and Russell Eblin and four sisters, Maggie Lanthorn, Iva Barcus, Effie Crouse and Rosie Jones. Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. At Naomi’s request, her granddaughters and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
