Norma Jean Brannen

Norma "Jean" Brannen, 94, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026 at Holzer Senior Care. Daughter of the late Clarence and Nellie Jane Watson Clary, Jean was born on October 6, 1931 in Gallia County, Ohio.

Jean worked Holzer food services for a number of years before retiring. In her free time, she found joy in cooking, tending to her flowers, and spending time with her family.

Jean was preceded in death by a son, Keith Brannen; a grandson, Michael Brannen; brothers, Homer Clary and Bobby Clary; and sisters, Betty Miller and Shirley Lou Williams. She is survived by two daughters, Dinah Brannen and Angie (Mark) Burns, both of Gallipolis; a son, Kenny Brannen of Gallipolis; five grandchildren, Traci (Nate) Waugh, Wayne (Audrey) Brannen, Rob Brannen, Madison (Cole) Bachtel, and Garrett Burns; six great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Jim Clary of Gallipolis and Ed Clary of Crown City; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The funeral services for Jean will be held at 1:00 p.m on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery. Friends and family may be received from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday.

The family wishes to extend a special "thank you" to Holzer Senior Care and Holzer Hospice for their care of Jean.

In lieu of flowers, the famliy asks that contributions in Jean's memory be made to Friends of Gallia County's Animals, 255 Farmview Road, Bidwell, Ohio 45614.
