Osia Maxine Jones

Osia Maxine Jones, 76, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday July 24, 2017 at her residence. She was born March 7, 1941 in Gallia County, daughter of the late Calvin O. “Shorty” and Gracie Florence Hayner Caldwell. Maxine was married to Donald E. Jones and he preceded her in death in 2000. She was a homemaker, a member of Prospect Church, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 27. Maxine enjoyed her family. Surviving are her three daughters, Jeanie Melvin of Tampa, Florida, Dawnine (Barry) Yeauger of Cheshire, and Connie (Mark) Johnson of Gallipolis; three sons, Ronnie Jones (Patty Pugh) of Gallipolis, Kevin Jones of Columbus, and Rodney (Anna) Jones of Vinton; 13 grandchildren, Donald Melvin, Christopher Melvin, Dusty Jones, Jamie (Keva) Jones, Jesse Jones, Zachary Yeauger, Shawn Yeauger, Ashley (Travis) Roush, Allie Johnson, Dalton Jones, Anna DePasquale, Danny, DePasquale and Marzella DePasquale; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Irene (Okey) Martin and Frances Hayden, both of Gallipolis, Brenda (Arnold) Jackson of Bidwell; brothers, Earl Caldwell of Gallipolis, Leroy (Opal) Caldwell of Bidwell Ferrell Caldwell of Gallipolis, Frank (Wilma) Caldwell and Howard (Ruby) Caldwell, both of Bidwell; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Donald, Maxine was preceded in death by sisters, Mavis Ann McClain, Pauline Taylor, Marie Spires, Jewell Caldwell, Janet Cox and brothers, Bob Caldwell, Calvin Caldwell Jr., and Marlin Caldwell. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2017 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Calvin Minnis and Pastor Mark Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in Mina Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Dusty Jones, Jamie Jones, Jesse Jones, Zachary Yeauger, Shawn Yeauger, Barry Yeager, Mark Johnson, Travis Roush, Danny DePasquale,and Dalton Jones.
