Patricia King

Patricia A. King, 74, of Gallipolis, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at her residence. Patricia was born on November 26, 1951, in Huntington, WV. She was the daughter of the late Dewey and Lillian (Gibson) Harrison. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Harrison and Harold Harrison.

Patricia was married to her loving husband, Joseph C. King for 45 years and six months. She was a member of Pyro Church of Christ and was known for the love and care she poured into quilting and photography. Patricia especially enjoyed creating handmade quilts for family and friends, gifting each one with thoughtfulness and love. She was a graduate of South Point High School and Huntington Business College.

In addition to her husband Joe, Patricia is survived by two sisters, Rosa Prince of Ironton, Ohio and Jeannie Harrison of South Point, Ohio; sister-in-law, Belinda King of Tullahoma, Tennessee; and special cousin and friend, Cathy Gibson-McCulty.

She was a special aunt to Brian (Jessica) Harrison, Steve Harrison, Billy D (April) Vaughn, Kris (Brian) Ormsby, Angela (Gilmer) Gue, Mark (Michelle) Prince, Chris Prince, Keri Daniels, and Sean Harrison; and a loving great-aunt to Cody Gue, Makayla Gue, Aylaraha Prince, Jaidin Prince, Noah Harrison, Cheyenne Harrison, Aubree Daniels, Allyson Prince, and Nathaniel Nickel. She also leaves behind a special fur baby Skylar Marie, that she loved very much.

The funeral service for Patricia will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home with words of remembrance delivered by her dear friend Cathy and Greg Potter officiating. Her burial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026 at Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point, Ohio. Friends may call prior to the funeral service on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. Patricia's family wishes to extend a special thanks to the Heartland Hospice staff for their care given to Patricia in her time of need.
