Paul E. Burnette

Paul E. Burnette, 80, of Thurman passed away on Monday, April 9, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 26, 1927 in Williamson, WV to the late Landon and Myrtle Bevans Burnette. Paul was a retired self-employed carpenter; a World War II US Navy Veteran, and a member of the Centerville Masonic Lodge 371. He was a devoted grandfather and great grandfather who loved having all the kids around. He married Leona Mae Allen on July 12, 1944 and she preceded him in death on April 12, 1984. They had four daughters, Paula Kenneth Trainer of Edwardsville, IL, Joann Steve Hill of Gallipolis, Nancy Marlin Rose and Judy Gene Hall of Thurman; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; a sister Stella Abrams of Ashland, KY. Paul was preceded in death by his wife Leona Mae Burnette, his parents, son-in-law Gene E. Hall, sisters, Bertha Jean Burnette and Lorraine Everhart, brothers Frank Burnette and Lemuel Albert Burnette. Services will be 2 PM Wednesday at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens, Chapel of Hope Mausoleum with Pastor Ron Bynum officiating. Burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens.
