Dan Kiesling

Dr. Dan Kiesling, 70, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at his residence.

Born on July 10, 1955 in Gallipolis, Ohio, Dan was the son of the late Henry F. and Ruby F. McGraw Kiesling. Dan married Stella Pratt Kiesling in Gallipolis June 10, 1988. He was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School Class of 1973 and The Ohio State University. Dan received his undergraduate degree and doctorate from Ohio State University. In 1981, Dan started his optometry practice on Jackson Pike in Gallipolis, Ohio. He retired in 2021 with 40+ years in business, serving residents in Gallia County and the surrounding communities. Well known for his love of all things 1950's and 60's, he spent much of his spare time amassing a collection of memorabilia ranging from cars and gas pumps to his fathers barber shop after Henry retired.

Dan is survived by his wife, Stella Kiesling of Gallipolis; daughter, Laura Lovett of Point Pleasant; grandchildren, Logan Lovett of Gallipolis, and Laine Lovett of Point Pleasant; brother, Dr. Dean Kiesling of Leesburg, Ohio; sister, Tammy (Ed) Swisher of Bidwell, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Private family services were held.
