Pauline Boster Bartels

Pauline Boster Bartels, 89, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014 at Holzer Senior Care Center. She was born October 23, 1924 in Gallipolis, daughter of the late James Delbert and Mary E. Boster. Pauline was married to Emery D. Bartels and he preceded her in death. She graduated from Marietta Nursing School and was a retired registered nurse, a former charge nurse at a nursing home in Chesterfield, Ohio. Surviving are her daughter, Patty Snyder of Gallipolis; two grandchildren, Hollie Bartel Brumfield (Steve Wamsley) of Pt. Pleasant, WV and David Snyder of Shelby, Ohio; 6 great grandchildren, Kayla Brumfield, Tyler Wamsley, Rilie Wamsley, Leslie, Hannah and Denver Burks; one great great grandson, Ryder McCormick. Pauline enjoyed her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emery D. Bartels, one son Phil W. Bartel, one son in infancy Emery Thomas Bartels, two brothers, Eugene Boster and Charles Thomas Boster, a brother in infancy Morris Delbert Boster, and one sister Mildred Williams. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Wiseman officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, prior to the funeral.
