Peggy A. Tackett

Peggy A. Tackett, 79, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at her residence. Born on October 6, 1946 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Peggy was the daughter of the late Basil Casey, Sr. and Rinda Barker Casey. Peggy graduated from Point Pleasant High School and was an original carhop at Bob Evans Drive-In on Eastern Avenue in Gallipolis. She married Lawrence "Larry" Tackett, who preceded her in death on February 18, 2021. Peggy was a member of Debbie Drive Chapel, and she enjoyed crocheting.

Peggy is survived by her sons, Mark Tackett (Denise Goodrich) of Patriot, Ohio and Scott (Tiffany) Tackett of Huntington, West Virginia; grandchildren, Matthew (Kelsi) Scott, Caleb (Sierra) Tackett, Dakota (Josie) Doss, Matthew (Amanda) Goodrich of Rio Grande, Ohio, Chris (Jessie) Goodrich of Rio Grande, and Daniel (Joshita) Goodrich of Chicago, Illinois; great-grandchildren, Nova, Dallas, Amelia, Lillian, and Bodhi; sister, Darlene Hurlow of Gallipolis; and brother, Stephen Casey of Mt. Alto, West Virginia.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Peggy was preceded in death by her brothers, Bob Casey and Basil Casey, Jr.

The funeral service for Peggy will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Junior Preston officiating. Burial will follow in Patriot Cemetery. Friends and family may call prior to the service Thursday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
