Phyllis M. Johnson

Phyllis M. Johnson, 70 died on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the Holzer Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born on April 12, 1938 in Northup, Ohio the daughter of the late Bryan and Ada Sheets Saunders. She was a retired sales clerk for the Revco Corp. and a member of the V.F.W. post 4464 Ladies Aux. Surviving is her Husband Virgil L. Johnson of Gallipolis. Step Son James Johnson of Gallipolis, Step Daughter: Jan Rick Carter of Gallipolis and a step granddaughter: Hallie Carter of Gallipolis. 4 Nieces: Vera Jean Snedaker, Pamela Carter, Linda Fox, and Brenda Teter. 3 Nephews: Ronald Carter, William B. Carter and Mike Saunders. Special Friend: Fran Workman She was preceded in death by her parents Bryan and Ada Saunders, a son Rick L. Saunders on November 1, 1997 and 2 brothers Mancel Eugene Saunders and Woodrow B. Saunders, 2 Sisters Violet Carter and Martha Mossburg Services will be on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at 1:00 pm at the Willis Funeral Home under the direction of Pastor Alfred Holley. Burial will follow in the Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 until 9 pm Monday June 30, 2008 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
