Monday, May 18, 2026, at 83, Phyllis "Faye" Rossiter-Unroe went to meet her beloved daughter, Lisa G. Fisher, her parents, and her siblings in Heaven.
Faye was born in Lawrence County, Ohio on June 7, 1942. She was the youngest of eight children born to her parents, Stanley "Dick" and Lennie Boster Rossiter. She formerly worked as a scale clerk for Crown City Mining, and she retired from Gallipolis Parts Warehouse. She married her husband, Bobby Lee Unroe, on February 22, 1997; and they shared nearly 30 years of marriage together. Faye enjoyed her flowers and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her former husband and father of her children, Paul O. Milard; her youngest beloved daughter, Lisa G. Fisher; her parents; and siblings, Herman (Juanita) Rossiter, Zelma Wedemeyer, Emmett Rossiter, Beatrice Rossiter, Paul Rossiter, and Farrell Rossiter.
Faye is survived by her husband, Bobby Lee Unroe; daughters, Teresa "Terri" (David) Short and Lori (Paul) Sanders; sister-in-law, Sue Rossiter; brother, Richard Rossiter; many nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Vanessa Stidham, Erica Fisher (Rodney Chesser), Caleb (Kelsey) Sanders, Courtney (Cody) Lanz, McKinsey (Aaron) Johnson, Micah (Grace Pfeiffer) Sanders, and Erin (Justin) Dixon; great-grandchildren, Allison "Alli" and Kaylee Stidham, Brayden and Braxton Chesser, Claire and Cora Lanz, Caleb M. Sanders, Penny Dixon, and two on the way- Callum Dixon and Baby Sanders; as well as a special friend and amazing lady, Tina Halfhill.
The funeral services for Faye will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Northup officiating. Her burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery. Friends and family may be received from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday.
