Pluma Sheets Foster Caldwell Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 3:23 a.m. the death angel passed quietly by and took from our midst Pluma Sheets Foster Caldwell. She was the daughter of the late James W. and Sarah Shriver Sheets and was born in the Crown City, Ohio area June 14, 1914 and being at the time of her death 95 years of age. Pluma spent several years in Nitro, West Virginia area and most of her remaining life was spent around the Crown City and Gallipolis, Ohio area. She spent the last 3 1/2 years at Arbors Nursing Home in Gallipolis. Surviving are daughter-in-law, Linda Foster; grandchildren, Gary Wayne Foster, Sherry Jimmy Asher; great grandchildren, Jamie, Saundra, and Jennifer; great great granddaughter Jada Turner; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Ray Foster; four brothers, Arthur, Ira 'Tobe' Shirley and Grover Sheets, four sisters, Clara Holston, Myrtle Thivener, Stella Woodyard and Ella Syrus. Pluma was mainly a homemaker and enjoyed camping, traveling, playing games and was a fun loving person. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Crown City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 - 1 p.m., prior to the service.
