Rachel D. Pullins

Rachel D. Hawk Pullins, 61, of Bidwell, Ohio, was taken to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 1, 2006. She was born on November 18, 1944 in Athens, Ohio to the late Ross and Zura Swartz Hawk. Rachel was married to Marvin P. Pullins and he survives her. She was a dedicated employee of Rockwell International formerly Robbins and Myers for 29 years. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Gallipolis, Ohio, where she participated in the Elizabeth Circle, Bible Study and many other church activities. She enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society. Rachel was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Marvin P. Pullins, of Bidwell; one daughter, Kelly D. Gleason of Grove City, Ohio; two sons, Kevin D. Mindy Pullins of Gallipolis and Marvin L. Star Pullins of Bidwell; seven grandchildren, Miranda and Tyler Gleason of Grove City, Ohio, Levi, Luke and Lane Pullins of Gallipolis, and Stephen and Cody Pullins of Bidwell; two sisters, Betty Eugene Williams of Heath, Ohio and Caryl Jack Ruth of Athens, Ohio; one brother, Lloyd Mary Hawk of Newark, Ohio and one sister-in-law, Willa Jean Hawk of Athens, Ohio. She will be forever remembered and loved by numerous, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Merle Hawk. Services will be on Sunday, February 5, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church with Pastor Doug Stockton officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the Willis Funeral Home on Saturday, February 4, 2006 from 5-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be John Ruth, Albert Hawk, Wilbur Pullins, Robert Pullins, Michael Cochran and Mark Hager.
