Rebecca L. “Becky” Rothgeb, 70, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on December 27, 2025. She was born on February 9, 1955, in Buckhannon, West Virginia, to Frank Naskey and the late Carole Lee Bias Naskey.
Becky married the love of her life, Jon T. Rothgeb, on July 7, 1977. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her nephew, Casey Canaday.
She is survived by her son, Heath T. (Jodi) Rothgeb of Bailey, Colorado; her daughter, Tessa R. (Bruce) Campbell of Ko Olina, Hawaii; and her beloved grandchildren, Willow Mae Rothgeb and Kyson Hugh Rothgeb of Bailey, Colorado. She is also survived by her sisters, Kim (Mike) Canaday and Lori (Tom) Young, both of Gallipolis, Ohio; nieces, Amy (Arnie) Duke and Alyssa (Greg) Cepluch, both of Indiana; nephew, Drew Young (Annabelle); great-nephews, Jack Thomas Duke and Alex Cepluch; and great-niece, Madeline Duke.
Becky was a 1973 graduate of Gallia Academy High School and later earned her Master of Education degree from Marshall University. She was a majorette at both institutions. Over the years, Becky owned and operated Park Front Diner and Bakery and a cheerleading gym. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church.
In her free time, Becky enjoyed working puzzles, listening to music, cooking, and playing the piano—an instrument she played with remarkable talent.
In accordance with Becky’s wishes, no public services will be held.
