Retta M. Williams

Retta M. Redden Williams, 71, of Pt. Pleasant, WV passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2005 at the Pleasant Valley Hospital Emergency Room. She was born on February 28, 1934 in Lewis County, Kentucky to the late Ambrose and Exie Kegley Redden. Retta was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, cooking and baking, especially pies. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Gallipolis, Ohio, and attended the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Minford, Ohio. Retta was married to Willard L. Williams and he preceded her in death in 1996. She is survived by children, Barbara Dwight Waldrop of Ashburn, VA, Michael Sharon Williams of Pt. Pleasant, WV, Brenda H. Dennis McChargue of Graysville, TN, and Lisa Mitch Logan of Clemmons, NC; seven grandchildren, D. Michael McChargue US Army serving in Iraq, Rodney McChargue of Graysville, TN, Andy Williams of Pt. Pleasant, WV, Matthew McChargue of US Army Ft. Hood, TX, Krissy Logan, Kayla Logan and Cody Logan all of Clemmons, NC; two sisters Darlene Griffith of Belleville, Michigan, and Jewell John Thurston of Beaver Creek, Ohio, two brothers, Estel Reda Redden of Belleville, Michigan, and Lowell Christine Redden of Longview, Texas; a brother-in-law George Sparks of Bellefontaine, Ohio She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and by a sister Christina Sparks. Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Minford, Ohio with Pastor Ralph Frazie officiating. Burial will follow in the Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 from 6-8 PM at Willis Funeral Home in Gallipolis, Ohio, and from Noon until the time of the service at the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church on Wednesday.
