Richard L. Clonch, 73, of Gallipolis, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at his residence. He was born February 17, 1944 in Gallipolis, son of the late William R. and Dorothy Younger Clonch. Richard was married for 51 years to Marion Nichols Clonch and she survives him. He was a National Guard veteran and was a retired truck driver for Stroehmann Bakeries. Richard was a Master 32 Degree Mason with the Point Pleasant Masonic Lodge, enjoyed racing and fixing up antique cars. Richard was a loving husband and father to his surviving family, wife Marion Clonch of Gallipolis; three children, Robin Angel Clonch of Gallipolis, Richard “Ricky” (Michelle) Clonch of Canton, Pennsylvania and Jeremiah Gerald (Jennifer) Clonch of Chemung, New York; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; six sisters, Alta Riedal of Gallipolis, Mary Ann Nibert of Beauly, Ohio, Iva Myers of Vinton, Nancy Caldwell and Dorothy Wills, both of Gallipolis, and Virginia Kasee of Marietta; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Jr. Bush, William R. Bush and Herbert R. Clonch and one sister, Opal Martin. Service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the Willis Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in East Smithfield, Pennsylvania.
