Richard E. Rathburn Ii

Richard E. Rathburn II, 44, of Gallipolis, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Holzer Medical Center Emergency Room. He was born July 4, 1972 in Gallipolis, son of the late Richard E. Rathburn and Linda Lou Gilkey Rathburn, who survives him. Richard was married to Sharon E. Jordan Rathburn and she survives. He was a janitor with Winans Janitorial. He enjoyed fishing and motorcycle riding. Richard loved his special dog “Chester” In addition to his wife, Sharon E. Rathburn and his mother, Linda Rathburn of Pomeroy, he is also survived by a daughter, Kylee Lovejoy of Charleston, WV; a stepdaughter, Jami Johnson of Coalton; a stepson, Justin Johnson of Wellston; a step grandchild, Maddison Ann Johnson; a sister, Rhonda Rathburn of Syracuse; a brother, Joshua Rathburn of Pomeroy; a niece, Raeven Reedy of Syracuse and his stepdad, Mark Clark of Pomeroy. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents. According to his wishes, there will be no services. Willis Funeral Home is assisting the family.
