Richard Christopher Tipple, 40, of Gallipolis, Ohio went home to be with the Lord, on Saturday, March 17, 2018 from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident in Leon, WV. Chris was born on February 12, 1978 in Gallipolis, Ohio, son of the late Deborah “Debbie” Fletcher Tipple and Richard “Rick” Tipple who survives. Chris was a Physical Analyst for Constellium. He was a 1996 graduate of Gallia Academy High School and graduated from the University of Rio Grande with B.S. in Industrial Technologies. Chris was an active member of First Baptist Church where he was active in the children’s ministries and the church softball and basketball ministries. He was a big O.S.U. sports fan. Chris also was a member of Steelworkers Union Local 5668, where he served as a union committeeman. He was married to Jenny Sciulli Tipple on July 17, 1999 in Gallipolis, Ohio and she survives. He is also survived by sons Ray (Rebecca) Rediger and Ethan Tipple both of Gallipolis, and Lexie Plants who is being raised in his home like a daughter. Chris is survived by his dad Richard “Rick” (Ollie) Tipple of Gallipolis, a brother Nick (Heidi) Tipple of Gallipolis, Mother-in-law: Debbie (Marc) Grube of Pigeon Forge, TN, and Father-in-law: Dan (Debra) Sciulli of Elyria, Ohio, Brothers-in-law: Adam Sciulli and Jeremy (Tara) Minnick both of Elyria, sister-in-law: Janie Johnson of Pigeon Forge, TN, Nieces, Emma, Hannah Grace and Ella Tipple, Jada Sciulli, Maleah Minnick, and a nephew Heath Johnson, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be 6 pm Thursday, March 22, 2018 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Aaron Young officiating. Friends may call on Thursday at the church from 5 pm until the time of the service. Graveside services will be 1 pm Friday March 23, 2018 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ada, Ohio. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Ethan Tipple college fund c/o any US Bank Location.
