Robert C. Ash

Robert C. Ash, 75, of Gallipolis, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at The Cornerstone of Huntington, WV. He was born on May 10, 1931 in Wirt County, West Virginia to the late Roy and Charity Nutter Ash. He married Susie L. Gay on July 28, 1979 and she preceded him in death. He retired from Kaiser Aluminum, after 28 years of service as a bail operator. Surviving are three children, Robert L. Ash of Elizabeth, WV, Jerry W. Ash of Newark, WV and Jo Ann Bowie of Harrisville, WV; a stepdaughter, Victoria V. Wells of Vincent, OH; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Virginia Shears and Isabelle Goodwin, both of Elizabeth, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Susie Ash in 2003, a grandson, Bobby Ash, two brothers, Harold and Paul Ash, and two sisters, Emogene Dennis and Wanda Glatz. Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will be in Centenary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service.
