Robert L. Rogers, 79, of Gallipolis, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.

Born on August 7, 1945 in Frozen Run, West Virginia, Robert was the son of the late Claude Ray and Clara Cottrell Rogers. Bob had worked for Burlile Oil Company, Bob Evans Trucking, and Jividen’s Farm Equipment. He was a US Army veteran. Bob attended Heritage Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Naomi Rogers; loving parents; and several brothers and sisters.

Bob is survived by two sons, Bobby Rogers (Amanda Johnson) and Seth Rogers (Samantha Pierce) both of Gallipolis; six grandchildren, Jayden Rogers, Haleigh Rogers, Alex Dinguss, Madison Dinguss, Marcus Salyers, and Teddy Salyers; sister, Shirley (Ron) Collins of Marion, Virginia; brother, Nelson “Bub” (Sharon) Rogers of Spencer, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Theda Covey of Gallipolis; special nephew, Paul Covey of Gallipolis; and several nieces and nephews. Bob was a hero to his two sons and always there for anyone who was lucky enough to have known him.

The funeral service for Bob will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Thom Mollohan officiating. Friends and family may call prior to the service Saturday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Military rites will be given at the cemetery by the Gallia County Funeral Detail.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Rogers, Sam Garber, Larry Johnson, Alex Dinguss, Seth Rogers, Paul Covey, and Nic Schneider.
