Robert Eugene Ross

Robert Eugene Ross, 76, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home with his wife by his side on Friday, September 11, 2026.

Born to the late Freddie and Freda (Asbury) Ross on July 3, 1950 in Ironton, Ohio, Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Cochran; as well as his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Donna Sheline.

A loving husband of 46 years, Robert is survived by his wife Teresa (Sheline) Ross, as well as his two children, Robert (Katie) Ross II of Fairfield, Ohio and Laura (Leslie) Wilson of Proctorville, Ohio. He is also survived by two brothers, Larry Ross of Patriot and Michael Ross of Columbus, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Declan Ross, Riley Ross, Arealle Rice, Donnie (Madison) Rice, Tyler Rice, Bianca Rice, Rease Rice, and Loran Wilson; one great-grandson, Finn Rice; brother-in-law, Michael (Alice) Sheline; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was a loving husband. He loved his children and grandchildren very much. He especially loved watching his children talking to each other. Robert was a graduate of Symmes Valley High School. He worked road construction for many years working for Mansfield Flooring and Paving and Highway Paving.

He will be missed very much.

The funeral services for Robert will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens Chapel of Hope. Military honors will be provided by the Gallia County Honor Guard before burial. Friends and family may be received from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Willis Funeral Home.
