Roger L. Foster

With heavy hearts and grateful memories, we announce the passing of Roger Foster on January 8, 2026, at the age of 78. Roger had a long and rewarding career as a teacher and coach. Roger positively impacted countless students and athletes and was admired for his leadership, discipline, and integrity. After he retired from Meigs High School, he utilized his passion and expertise by officiating several sports. Outside the classroom and off the court, Roger enjoyed vacationing with his family, working out, and cheering for The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Roger leaves behind his beautiful wife, Sheri (Johnson) Foster and four loving daughters, Renee (Rader) Casto, Shanin (Rader) Moore, Erin Rader, and Tiffany (Foster) Van Curen. He was graced with grandchildren, Justin Halfhill, Hannah Prevatt, Abigail Metzdorff, and Jade Van Curen who will forever cherish his memory.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Esther Foster, and youthful grandson, Jarrod Halfhill.

Roger left everyone he touched with tools to finish strong and handle the rigors of a competitive world. He is gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
