Roger Garlic, 77, of Gallipolis passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Born in Gallipolis on June 9, 1941, Roger was the son of the late Junior and Susie Garlic. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. Roger was a member of Operating Engineer Local #18, Morning Dawn Lodge #7 Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rights, First Baptist Church of Gallipolis, and the Ohio Farm Bureau. Roger is survived by his wife, Darlene Holley Garlic, whom he married on April 11, 1987 at Clark Chapel Church. Also surviving are his daughters, Tracy (Chris) Brill of Warren Robin, Georgia; Tiffini (Brett) Bostic of Gallipolis, sons, Bill (Tabby) Swain of Mercerville and Jackie L. Swain, Jr. of Mercerville, and grandchildren, Hailee Swain, Maggie (Kevin) Malone, Ethan Swain, and Benjamin and Natalie Brill. In addition to his parents, Junior and Susie Garlic, Roger was preceded in death by his son, Tony J. Garlic; sister, Beverly Speirs; paternal grandparents, Hoadley and Julia Garlic Sr.; and maternal grandmother, Margaret (Mag) Sibley. The funeral service for Roger will be 11 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Chapman and Pastor Ray Witmer officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Thursday, June 21, 2018 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A Masonic Service will follow the calling hours at 8:00 p.m.
