Rosalie Swanson

Rosalie "Rosie" Swanson, 78, of Gallipolis, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 18, 2026 at Abbyshire Place. Rosie was born on October 17, 1947 in Cadmus, Ohio, daughter of the late Thomas and Anise Bailey Daniels.

Rosie was a homemaker and a graduate of Southwestern High School. She faithfully attended Old Kyger Freewill Baptist Church for 50 years where she enjoyed going to fellowship.

Rosie was married to Franklin F. Swanson, Jr. in 1965; and he preceded her in death on January 14, 2003. She was also preceded in death by all her siblings, Gerald Daniels, Leo Daniels, Harold Daniels, Hobart Daniels, Junior Daniels, Faye Coleman, and Ruby Pelfry.

Rosie is survived by her children, Teresa Badajo of Sanford, Maine, Frank Swanson of San Diego, California, and Roger (Tia) Swanson of Gallipolis, Ohio; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Opal Thompson.

A Graveside Service for Rosie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026 at Pine Street Cemetery with Pastor Jamie Fortner officiating.
