Rosebud Spurlock

Rosebud Spurlock, 90, of Patriot, Ohio, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at OSU Hospital surrounded by her family.

Rosebud was born on January 24, 1936 to the late Grover Lambert and Ada Jane Miller. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma. Rosebud was also a devout Christian and a member of McDaniel Crossroads Church for many years.

In addition to her parents, Rosebud was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Spurlock; grandsons, Jarrod Spurlock and Christopher Hall; and great-grandsons, Zachary Hall, Blake Witt, and Ethan Hoofnel.  She was also preceded in death by one brother, Estel Lambert and eight sisters, Clyde Hively, Nora Rutt, Viola Pennington, Lena Miller, Grace Bright, Alberta Durr, Naomi Carpenter, and Zelma Willaims.

Rosebud is survived by a son, Donnie Spurlock of Marysville, OH and three daughters, Brenda Malone of Batavia, OH; Linda Fenner of Patriot, OH; and Melinda Spurlock of Patriot, OH. She is also survived by three granddaughters, Stephanie Doll of Mt. Orab, Stacey Malone of Mt. Orab, and Alyssa (Johnny) Hoofnel of Cincinnati, OH; eight great-grandchildren, Elaina Colston, Morgan Malone, Emma Malone, Riley Malone, Elliot Hoofnel, Nathanial Hoofnel, Phillip Hoofnel, and Charlie Hoofnel; and two great great-grandchildren, Evelynn Hall and Zachary Hall Jr.

The service for Rosebud will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastors Doug Miller and Mike Severt officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Wednesday prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Donnie Spurlock, Ralph Ingalls, Johnny Hoofnel, Elliot Hoofnel, Tony Ball, Gavin Tebo, Jason Pace, and Brayden Fehrenbach.
