Ruby P. Poling

Ruby P. Poling, 91, of Crown City, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2006 at the Holzer Medical Center. She was born on February 17, 1915 in Jackson County, WV to the late Holly and Bertha Harris Mays. Ruby was married to Beecher Poling and he preceded her in death in 1988. She was a member of Elizabeth Chapel and was a homemaker. Surviving is one son, Ronnie Skeen of Crown City; three grandchildren, Teresa Steve Burchett of Minford, Susan Don Phillips of Oceanside, CA, and Jimmy Lacie Skeen of Crown City; nine great grandchildren, Ronnie Clagg, Stacy Clagg, Jill Massie, Heather Phillips, MaKayla Phillips, Cody Phillips, Logan Phillips, Chase Skeen and Abby Skeen; one great great grandchild, Annabell Clagg; and one sister, Ruth Mays of Gallipolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Beecher Poling, and a sister, Rhoda Kuhn. Services will be on 11 a.m., Thursday, October 26, 2006 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Goshen Cemetery, Jackson County, WV.
