Ruthie Freeman

Ruthie Lynn Freeman, 59, of Crown City, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025 at her residence. Ruthie was born on March 25, 1966 in Huntington, West Virginia, daughter of the late Charles P. and Maggie M. Jeffers Freeman, Sr. Ruthie had worked for Johnson's Supermarkets as a cook, worked in home health, and worked at the Court House. She was a graduate of Hannan Trace High School.

Ruthie is survived by her companion of thirty-five plus years, Claude Geiger of Crown City; three sons, Dakota Freeman of Crown City, Chandler Geiger of Proctorville, and Isaiah Geiger of Crown City; six grandchildren, Zayden, Gracelyn, Gabie, Gianni, Coleson, and Morgan; two sisters, Lucille Freeman of Gallipolis, Ohio and Jeanie Clonch of Cheshire, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruthie was preceded in death by a brother, Charles P. Freeman, Jr. and two sisters, Ella Mae Riggs and Shelia J. Atha.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Swan Creek Cemetery Rev. Marvin Geiger officiating. Prior to the graveside service, a visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at Willis Funeral Home.
