Sarah Sally Layne

Sarah Sally Layne, 83, of Gallipolis, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on September 28, 1927 in Gallia County, Ohio daughter of the late Gilbert and Leah Belle Barry Johnson. Sally was the owner of Laynes Furniture for 23 years, attended the Church of Christ in Christian Union and was a graduate of Mercerville High School. She was married to Mack Layne, Sr. on September 4, 1947 in Greenup, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1987. She was also preceded in death by a sister Hildean Chapman and a brother Homer E. Johnson. Sally was the loving mother of Mack Layne, Jr. of Gallipolis, loving grandmother of Leigh Ann (Jeff) Roach of Gallipolis and Brandon Layne of Charlotte, NC; and loving great grandmother ofPhil Hollingshead and Hannah Roach. Services will be 11 am, Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Swisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens.
