Sherry D. Clagg

Sherry D. Clagg, 70, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

Born on March 30, 1956 in Gallipolis, Ohio, Sherry was the daughter of the late William Larry and Margaret Barcus Cromlish. On June 30, 1973, Sherry married David Clagg, who survives her in Gallipolis. Sherry was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School Class of 1974. She worked for the Gallia County Clerk of Courts, retiring with 31 years of service. Sherry loved following her grandchildren's activities and traveling.

Sherry is survived by her husband, David Clagg of Gallipolis; daughters, Candy (Jeremy) Bowers of Gallipolis and Mandy (Brian) Unroe of Gallipolis; four grandchildren, Bo Saxon, Jeb Bowers, Brynn Unroe, and Brilee Unroe; brother, Nick Cromlish of Gallipolis; sister, Angie Burdette of Point Pleasant, West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by a son, Brandon David Clagg in 1974; sister, Sheila Cromlish Baird; and sister-in-law, Christy Cromlish.

The Graveside Service for Sherry will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Centenary Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Mitchell officiating. Pallbearers will be Bo Saxon, Jeb Bowers, Brian Unroe, Jeremy Bowers, Nick Cromlish, and Ben Baird.
