Stella L. Hansen, 81, of Gallipolis, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2006 at the Holzer Senior Care Center. She was born on December 11, 1924 in Lee City, Kentucky to the late Bruce and Addie Nickell. Stella was a maid at the Holiday Inn. She was a member of Gallipolis Christian Church. In the late 30’s, Stella was a well known radio personality on the “Radio Dot and Smoky Program” in the Cattlettsburg, Kentucky area recording a special song, “Rattlesnake Daddy”. She is survived by two daughters, Patty Ronnie Hutchinson of Patriot and Penny Archie Starcher of Seymour, Tennessee; a son, Richard L. Reba Hansen of Gallipolis; six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren. Preceding her in death is her parents, Bruce and Addie Nickell, a son Tim L. Hansen in 1990, five sisters and one brother. Services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at 2 p.m. at the Gallipolis Christian Church with Pastor Mike Lynn and Pastor Denny Coburn officiating. Burial will follow in Mound Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday at the Church from 12 till 2 p.m. prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Michael Hansen, Nathan Hansen, Ronnie Hutchinson, Mark Hutchinson, Chad Starcher, and Andy Sims.
