Stephen Eric Owens

Stephen Eric Owens, 72, of Gallipolis, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 11:55 pm at his home.

He was born on February 23, 1953 in Mason, West Virginia, the son of the late Douglas Owens and Ruth Marlene Barker Owens. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Owens.

Steve is survived by his wife of 25 years, Karen Blankenship-Owens; two daughters, Tina Owens of Morgantown, West Virginia and Beth (Julien) Thomas of South Carolina; stepson, Kevin (Karen) Blankenship of Gallipolis, Ohio; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cheryl Dray; and three brothers-in-law, Roger (Brenda) Warren of Gallipolis, Gerald (Nettie) Warren of Gallipolis, and Wayne (Brenda) Warren of Albany, Ohio.

The funeral service for Steve will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Jackie Northup officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the service on Friday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be John Grubb, Wayne Warren, Roger Warren, Gary Dray, and Pete Simms.
