Steven “Steve” Clary, 57, of Crown City, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Holzer Medical Center. He was born October 2, 1959 in Gallipolis, son of Jim Clary and Barbara Angel Chambers, who survive him. Steve was a 1977 Gallia Academy High School graduate. He was a U.S. Navy veteran where he served in San Diego as a Navy Seal from 1977 – 1981. He was an industrial painter with TMI Coating out of St. Paul, Minnesota. He enjoyed farming and raising quails and vegetables. Surviving are four sons, Stevie Clary of Minnesota, Jamie Clary of Crown City, Eric (Kim) Ariola of Elkins, WV and Raven (Cassie) Ariola of Pittsburgh, PA; five grandchildren, Laylie Clary, Maya Clary, Gavin Clary, Mason and Logan Ariola; former wife, Melba Ariola of Greensburg, WV; his mother, Barbara Angel Chambers of Crown City; his father, Jim Clary of Gallipolis; a brother, Jeff (Katie) Clary of Huffman, Texas; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Steve was preceded in death by a brother, Marion Joe Clary, a sister, Robin Lynn Burnem, maternal grandparents, Brady and Belva Martin Angel and paternal grandparents, Clarence and Nellie Watson Clary. Services will be 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Friends may call from 6-7:30 p.m. prior to the funeral. Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Ridgelawn Cemetery. There will be military rites at the graveside by the Gallia County Funeral Detail.
