Pete Biars

Pete Biars, 68, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at his residence.

Born on July 24, 1958 in Gallipolis, Ohio, Pete was the son of the late Christopher William Biars Jr. and Beatrice G. Pullins Biars. Pete married Jackie Matney Biars, who survives him in Gallipolis. He was a graduate of Gallia Academy High School Class of 1976 and a diesel mechanic for Pierceton Trucking.

Pete is survived by his wife, Jackie Biars of Gallipolis; son, Chris Biars of Pleasant City, Ohio; stepdaughters, Trena (Dwight) James and family and Robin (Mike) Eurell and family; stepson, James E. Gardner and family; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Melvin Biars of Gallipolis, Paul Biars of Gallipolis, and Ralph (Sharon) Biars of Crown City, Ohio; one sister, Tammy Biars Addis of Crown City, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby Joe Pullins, Bill Biars, and Charlie Biars.

The funeral service for Pete will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Mina Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the service Thursday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Mulholand, Kerry Ours, Trent Harrison, Nate Waugh, Dustin Biars, and Phil Mitchell.
