Thelma Juanita Bane

Thelma Juanita Bane, 90, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Holzer Senior Care. Juanita was born on May 22, 1935 in Mason County, West Virginia, daughter of the late Homer Hill and Garnet Martin Hill, Sr.

Juanita was married to Richard M. Bane, and he preceded her in death in 2018. She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Bane Canter (Mike) of Gallipolis and by a son, Jeff (Mica) Bane of Oro Valley, Arizona; two granddaughters, Kierstyn Canter of New Albany, Ohio and Meredith Blake (Edmund) of Cave Creek, Arizona; one great granddaughter, Maribella Blake of Cave Creek, Arizona; one brother, Elmer Hill of Wellston, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Juanita was preceded in death by a sister, Betty DeWitt and five brothers, Edward Hill, Marvin Hill, Homer Hill, Jr., Harold Hill, and Roy Hill.

A Graveside Service for Juanita will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at St. Nick Cemetery with Pastor Harold Benson officiating. Friends may call on Thursday at Willis Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
