Thelma F. Taylor

June 24, 1931 — April 12, 2006

Thelma F. Taylor, 74, of Gallipolis, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at the Holzer Medical Center. She was born on June 24, 1931 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles N. and Betsy Marie Rowley Siders. Thelma was married to Everett Taylor and he preceded her in death in 1972. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Surviving are two daughters, Nancy John Cox and Carolyn James Haislop, both of Gallipolis; four sons, Dale Everett Sandy Taylor of Gallipolis, Jerry Joyce Taylor of Wellston, Richard Taylor and Phillip Tami Taylor, both of Gallipolis; sixteen grandchildren; and nineteen great grandchildren. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Everett, two granddaughters, Rebecca Diane Cox and Katherine Cox, two brothers, Clarence and Barton Siders, and five sisters, Hannah Hazelbaker, Betty Spencer, Helen Cox, Dorothy Gothard and Velma Siders. Services will be on Monday, April 17, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, April 16, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Jim Haislop, John Cox, Rick Whitt, Bill Hall, Dave Corey and Michael Corey. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Diabetes Association in memory of Thelma.
