Tyler James Ward, 32, of Cheshire, Ohio passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 25, 2018, with his wife by his side. Born on April 20, 1986 in Gallipolis Ohio, Tyler was the son of Jim (Monk) and Marsha Dillard Ward. He was employed at Jim’s Farm Equipment where he was a mechanic and the service manager. Tyler attended River of Life United Methodist Church. In Tyler’s free time, he enjoyed mud running with his buddies, sitting around the campfire, or tinkering with one of his old trucks. Tyler is survived by his wife, Clarissa (Meaige) Ward, whom he married on October 11, 2008 at River of Life UMC. Also surviving is his son, Grant Orion Ward, whom he loved with all his heart. He leaves behind his fur baby, Mady. Also surviving are his mother-in-law and father-in-law, David and Becky Meaige; sister-in- law, Crystal (David) Cox; brother-in-law, Christopher Meaige; and three nephews, Dalton Cox, and Hunter and Easton Meaige. Tyler was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Edith Dillard and James Orion and Mildred Ward. The family wishes to express special thanks to the Brain and Spine Hospital at The James for always taking such great care of Tyler, especially his favorite nurse Sam. He leaves behind a big extended family and a lot of friends. The funeral service for Tyler will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Fisher and Pastor Shannon Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, and a meal will follow at the River of Life UMC. Friends and family may call from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Brad Beaver, Levi Thompson, Zach Davis, Jesse Thompson, Chase Davis, Josh Handley, Sean Kelley, and David Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Fraley, Brandon Harrison, Christopher Meaige, Andy Kerns, and Thomas Franks. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a monetary donation to Clarissa and Grant Ward.
