Violet L. Wells

Violet L. Wells, 73, of Gallipolis, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Violet was born on December 21, 1952 in Gallia County, Ohio, daughter of the late Estle and Olive Evadene Hively Lambert. She retired from Guiding Hand School as a school bus driver. Violet graduated from Southwestern High School and attended Oasis Tabernacle.

Violet was married to William D. "Bill" Wells on June 28, 1970; and he preceded her in death on August 13, 2014. She is survived by a daughter, Stacie (Jamie) Davis of Gallipolis and a son, William J. (Randi) Wells of Gallipolis; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jake) Walker, Nicole (Hank) Lero, Kaitlyn Davis (Austin), Haiden, Achilles, Brantley, Taylah, Hailey, and Tristan Wells; great grandson, Branson Valentine; siblings, Roxie Davies, Carl (Sylvia) Lambert, David (Judy) Lambert, and Beulah (Roger) Thomas all of Patriot, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Violet was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers in infancy and three brothers, Charles, Cecil, and Rick Lambert.

The funeral service for Violet will be 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Bethany Vance officiating. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Hope Mausoleum at the convenience of the family. Friends and family may call prior the service on Thursday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
