Virginia L. Donnet

Virginia L. "Ginny" Donnet, 88, of Bidwell, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025 at her residence. Ginny was born on September 16, 1936 in Poca, West Virginia, daughter of the late Martin and Elsie Walker Polcyn.

She graduated from Gallia Academy High School in 1954 and retired after 25 years working as a TPW from Gallipolis Developmental Center. Ginny was married to Robert L. "Bob" Donnet; and he preceded her in death on May 15, 2022. In addition to her parents and husband, Ginny was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin "Susie" Donnet Haviland; grandchildren, Lori Donnet, Heather Peck, Johnnie Donnet, and Sherri Spires; great grandchildren, Kymber Donnet and Jonathan Penick; and siblings, Jimmy, Don, Ed, John, Danny, Mike, Sally, Phyllis, Rosie, and Carol.

Ginny is survived by three daughters, Barb (Fred) Brinker of Letart, West Virginia, Teresa (Keith) Spurlock of Gallipolis, and Lisa Foley (David) Young of Gallipolis; two sons, Bob (Jane) Donnet, Jr. and Billy (Tammy) Donnet both of Gallipolis; seven grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and siblings, Bob (Susan) Polcyn and Margie Johnson.

A visitation will be held for Ginny on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Willis Funeral Home; a service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with son-in-law Keith Spurlock officiating. Her burial will be at a later date in Mound Hill Cemetery,
