Wanda Lou Vansickle Hager

July 31, 1940 — March 23, 2016

Wanda Lou VanSickle Hager, 75, went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2016. Born to Henry and Virginia VanSickle, she married Jerry L. Hager in 1962. They evangelized and worked for the Lord until, Jerry went home in 2005. They owned and pastored New Life Tabernacle, Wheelersburg, Ohio. She was a perfect example of a Christian wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her life and light will shine on through all her family and loved ones left behind. She was employed at the Hair Hut, Rio Grande by her best friend, Kim Jordan. She was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse, Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Wanda left behind two children, Mark (Pam) Hager of Gallipolis and Cindy Hager (Roger) Watson of Rio Grande; four grandchildren, Joseph, Amanda, Jessica and Bethany; two great grandchildren, Everly and Olive Faye; three sisters, Janice (Roger) Scott of Bucyrus, Ohio, Shirley (Danny) Palmer of Cheshire, Patricia Williamson of Crown City; one brother, Ronald VanSickle of Crown City; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Jerry L. Hager, Wanda was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Dixon. Services, Celebration of Her Life will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Towe officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Monday prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Alan Smith, Sherman Green, Joey Hager, Benny Thivener, Roger Watson, and Danny Hager.
